Teacher
of the Year nomination form . . . . .
TOY
Students, parents and
staff members may nominate teachers, guidance counselors,
library media specialists (anyone in a position that
requires a teaching certificate - except administrators) for
the R-7 Teacher of the Year and the Chamber of Commerce
Excellence In Teaching Awards.
Please consider
nominating a deserving colleague - or perhaps your own
child's teacher, counselor or library media specialist.
Nominees must have
worked for R-7 for at least 5 years. Part-time teachers,
counselors and library media specialists are eligible to
receive the Excellence In Teaching award, but due to DESE
regulations may not be selected as Teacher of the Year. To
see if a nominee has 5 years' experience, please contact
Jennifer Ostaszewski at 981-1017 or
jennifer.ostaszewski@leesummit.k12.mo.us.
Nominations are due Friday,
February 3. Excellence In Teaching winners will be
recognized and the Teacher of the Year will be announced at
a May 2 Chamber of Commerce/R-7 sponsored reception,
scheduled from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the historic Longview
Mansion.
